Contract: Full-time fixed-term contract to be filled as soon as possible. 2-year contract.

Remuneration between €2420 and €2520 gross per month depending on profile and experience.

Description of the assignment structure: LORIA is a computer science research laboratory of the University of Lorraine and the CNRS. It is made up of 27 teams, including the BIRD team (Building artificial Intelligence between trust, Responsibility and Decision), which is currently conducting projects in the field of e-education and more specifically in the area of modelling based on the analysis of digital learning traces (Learning Analytics).

We are recruiting a software engineer whose role will be to participate in the European EDGE Skills project, which aims to implement a shared platform between the academic world and EdTech companies, with the aim of making realistic, clean and regulatory-compliant data available to the scientific community and providing an environment that gives access to already-designed scenarios, enabling the ongoing improvements in artificial intelligence algorithms used in education to be compared and objectified.

In collaboration with LORIA’s Service Informatique de Soutien à la Recherche (SISR) and under the responsibility of Azim Roussanaly from the BIRD team, the mission consists of:

● appropriating the code of the existing platform and associated elements

● maintaining the platform in operational conditions and upgrading the existing platform

● ensuring the security of hosted data

Master’s degree or engineering school diploma in IT, maths-info or MIAGE.

Skills required:

● Mastery of software architectures and development

● DevOps technologies: docker, ansible

● Mastery of the Python programming language

● Knowledge of system and network administration

● Current experience of web services (REST architecture, JSON and XML formats, etc.)
